BRAKE-SHIFT INTERLOCK

Workhorse

The brake-shift interlock is a safety feature
that prevents the shift lever from being moved
from the Park position unless the ignition is ON
and the service brake pedal is pressed.
NOTE: On Ford chassis, if the brake light fuse is
blown, the interlock feature will not work
properly and an alternate method must
be used. See your Ford Owners Guide for
detailed instructions on what to do in this
situation.
