Serial Ports (COM12 ~ COM56)
AIMB-281 supports six serial ports. COM34 and COM56 support RS-232. COM12
supports RS-232/422/485 (supports RS-485 auto flow control).
These ports can be used to connect serial devices, such as a mouse or printer, or to
a communications network.
The IRQ and address ranges for both ports are fixed. However, users can disable the
port or change the parameters via the system BIOS setup.
Various devices implement the RS-232 standards in differing ways. If users encoun-
ter problems with a serial device, check the pin assignments for the connector.
