This command reads the number of continuous logical data blocks specified in the "Block
count" field with the logical data block on the disk media which is specified in the "Logical
block address" field in the CDB as the top, then executes a VERIFY check on those data.
The "Block count" field in the CDB specifies the number of data blocks which is the object of
the VERIFY check. When zero is specified in the "Transfer block count," the command is
terminated normally without performing seek and pre-fetch.
Bit 4 of CDB byte 1 is disabled in the IDD and the specified value is disregarded.
If "1" is specified in bit 1 of CDB byte 1, the BytChk bit, the IDD performs a comparison
check of the data read from the disk media and the data transferred from the INIT. If the data
do not match during this mode, the command is terminated with a CHECK CONDITION
status (MISCOMPARE [=E] / Miscompare during verify operation [=1D-00]).
If "0" is specified in bit 1 of CDB byte 1, the BytChk bit, an ECC (data portion) normalcy
check is executed. Also, error recovery processing during execution of the Verify check is
according to the mode specified by the MODE SELECT parameter (Verify error recovery
parameter). For example, if data correction processing is not prohibited, even if a correctable
data check is detected, it is regarded as if the verify check succeeded
