3. Fine lines down the image can be either dirt
or a scratches
on the glass or dirt being picked up
from the paper tray and dragged through. If the line is contineous through the scan, clean the glass
and re-normalise. If it starts and appears to disapear further down the scan, clean the paper tray
and try again. Scratched glass needs replacing.
