6.0 Troubleshooting

Common issues can be fixed by following the instructions in this guide. If the unit will
not function after following these instructions, contact technical support before attempt-
ing to use or repair the product.
ISSUE
Engine oil is too heavy
Engine cranks
slowly
Load is connected
No fuel
Fuel valve is closed
Engine is not
starting
Fouled spark plug
Not enough oil
Choke stuck in closed position
Black exhaust
Dirty air filter
Rich fuel mixture
No fuel
Engine stops
Not enough oil
Loose spark plug cable
Faulty spark plug
Engine has dif-
ficulty idling
Generator set not level
Dirty fuel filter
No AC Output
Tripped AC circuit breaker
No DC Output
Tripped DC circuit breaker
CAUSE

ACTION
Replace with recommended oil
Disconnect load while starting
Refill fuel tank
Fully open fuel valve
Remove, clean or replace spark plug
Add more oil
Open choke
Clean air filter
Contact customer service
Refill fuel tank
Add more oil
Reconnect or repair cable
Remove, clean or replace spark plug
Move generator to a level surface
Replace the filter
Remove all loads, reset breaker and check
loads for defects. Do not exceed genera-
tor rating.
Disconnect battery, reset breaker and test
battery for short circuit
