5-18 FUEL SYSTEM

INSPECTION

Fuel connector
Inspect fuel connector. If leakage,deterioration or other dam-
age is found, replace fuel connector.
Fuel primer bulb
Inspect fuel primer bulb. If cracks, leakage, or deterioration is
found, replace primer bulb.
If check valve function is defective, replace primer bulb.
Fuel hose
Inspect fuel hose. If cuts, cracks, leakage, tears or deteriora-
tion is found, replace fuel hose.
Fuel tank
Inspect fuel tank. if cracks, leakage or deterioration is found,
replace fuel tank.
If water or other contamination is found, drain and clean fuel
tank.
Tank cap
Check that the fuel tank vent opens and relieves internal tank
pressure properly.
Replace tank cap if vent is suspect.
