Removal and Replacement Procedures

Hard Drives

To remove a hard drive from the hard drive compartment:
1. Complete the preparation procedures. Refer to "Preparation Procedures" in this chapter.
2. Remove the access panel. Refer to "Access Panel" in this chapter.
3. Disconnect the power and data cables from the back of all devices in the hard drive
compartment.
4. Remove the hard drive compartment. Refer to "Removing a Hard Drive Compartment" in
this chapter.
5. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws on each side of the drive to be
removed (1), and then gently pull the drive out of the drive bay (2).
