Hooking up optional components

To enhance your system, you can connect optional components. Refer to the operating instructions
provided with each component. MHC-GNZ7D is used for illustration purposes.
TV or satellite tuner, etc.
From the audio output
jack of the connected

VCR, etc
A VIDEO INPUT VIDEO jack
(except for MHC-GNZ5D)
Use a video cable (not supplied) to connect the
video output of the optional analog component
(VCR, etc) to this jack.
B VIDEO INPUT AUDIO L/R jacks
(except for MHC-GNZ5D)
Use audio cords (not supplied) to connect the
audio output of the optional analog component
(VCR, etc) to these jacks. You can then output
audio through this system.

Note
The image of the optional component connected to
VIDEO INPUT VIDEO jack may appear on the TV
screen even if the system is turned off.
C TV/SAT IN L/R jacks (except
for MHC-GNZ5D)
Use audio cords (not supplied) to connect an
optional analog component (TV or satellite
tuner, etc.) to these jacks. You can then record or
listen to from the component through this
system.
