5 OPERATION
The following section outlines how the system operates once setup.
5.1 Sending a Message
1. Dial one of the extensions used by the Telephone Router.
2. The Telephone Router will answer your call after a preset number of rings (2 by
default).
3. If a PIN number has been setup on the line you called, you will be prompted with
Enter PIN. Enter the four‐digit access PIN using the numbers on your telephone. If
the PIN is incorrect, the PBX Interface will revert to Step 2.
4. If no PIN has been set or if the PIN you entered was correct, you will be prompted to
Enter pager number.
5. Enter the Local ID of the recipient for this message.
6. If the Local ID entered is not available, the Telephone Router will respond with
Pager Not Registered, and revert to Step 5.

7. If the Local ID is valid, Telephone Router will prompt you with Enter Message.
8. Enter the message you wish to send using the numbers on your telephone keypad.
Common Messages can be inserted into a message. To insert a common message,
simply press * followed by the two digit number of the PBX Message you wish to
send. You can insert multiple alphanumeric PBX Messages as part of the message
you wish to send, and mix and match alphanumeric messages with numeric digits.
9. Telephone Router will respond with Message Sent, and revert to step 4. If you have
no more messages to send, simply hang up.
