Line Settings
To administer advanced phone line settings, click Input Lines ‐> Line Settings.
Rx Gain – This field refers to the phone line sensitivity on the input side. Value range is from ‐16.5dB to
+13.5dB. For example, if the Telephone Router is having trouble hearing DTMF key presses you could try
typing a value of 3, 6, 9 or 12 dB here and check for improvements.
Tx Gain – This field refers to the phone line sensitivity on the output side. Value range is from ‐16.5dB to
+13.5dB. For example, if voice prompts are too quiet through the phone, you could try typing a value of
3, 6, 9 or 12 dB here until the voice prompt is at the correct volume.
Filter – The telephony lines support additional filter selections for the receive and transmit signals. This
should normally be left at a value of 0.
Hybrid 1‐8 – These fields are used to adjust the hybrid response to reduce near‐end echo in the eight‐tap
filter. When these fields are set to all 0s, this filter stage does not have an effect on the hybrid response.
Pulses Per Ring – This field adjusts how many pulses the Telephone Router will count as one ring. This
should normally be left at a value of 20.
