3) The 3610 will automatically restart itself when upgrading firmware is completed
successfully.
4) Read the "Update" barcode for the scanner to resume its operation (exit the
configuration mode).

UPGRADING 1661 USB BRIDGE FIRMWARE

1) Connect the USB cable between the scanner and your computer.
If you are using Direct USB Virtual COM for the first time, you must install its

driver.
2) Read the following barcodes in sequence to configure the scanner to use Direct USB
Virtual COM as the download interface.
3) Read the following barcodes in sequence for the scanner to enter download mode.
The scanner will respond with beeps to indicate it is ready for downloading.
4) Run the download utility "ProgLoad.exe" on your computer.
