MAGNETO AND STARTER GEAR

REMOVING THE GENERATOR ROTOR

1. Remove:
bolt 1 (magneto)
NOTE:
Loosen the bolt (generator rotor) 1 while
holding the rotor with a sheave holder 2 .
Do not allow the sheave holder to touch the
projection on the rotor.
2. Remove:
generator rotor 1
woodruff key
3. Remove:
circlip 1
bolt
CHECKING THE STARTER CLUTCH
1. Check:
starter clutch drive gear
starter clutch gear
Burrs/chips/roughness /wear
the defective part(-s).
