7.9.2 Fuel prefilter – Differential pressure check and adjustment of gauge
DANGER
Unguarded rotating and moving engine components.
Risk of serious injury – danger to life!
• Take special care when working on a running engine.
WARNING
Engine noise above 85 dB (A).
Risk of damage to hearing!
• Wear ear protectors.
Differential pressure gauge
adjustment
1.
When installing the new filter element: align
adjustable pointer (2) with pressure-indicat‐
ing pointer (3) of pressure gauge (1).
2.
Verify that differential pressure is within the
limit.
Fuel prefilter – Checking differential pressure
1.
With the engine running at full load or rated power, read off pressure at gauge (1).
2.
If differential pressure as indicated between position of adjustable pointer (2) and pressure indicator of
pressure gauge (3) is ≥ 0.3 bar, flush filter element of the cut-in filter (→ Page 199).
