Functions for 5.1-Channel Inputs
6 x 6 Input Routing
5-12 Operation
A 5.1 input channel has its own input routing setup accessible from the CHAN
- Input page, where every configured physical input can be routed to any of
the 5+1 individual channels. Each of these has its own ±18 dB Cal control,
and there is an additional Master calibration control common for all chan-
nels. The same high-quality processing features (EQ, dynamics, etc.) known
from the mono and stereo input channels are handled by one parameter set.
A 5.1 input channel's fader controls all six individual levels.
The input level calibration value is indicated by the blue bar graph; the exact
Cal
value is displayed in dB and can be set in a ±18 dB range with the rotary en-
coder below. In order to calibrate the different inputs individually, first select
the channel to be adjusted with the CHAN SEL rotary encoder; the selected
channel is highlighted by a bright frame. If set to Master, all channels are
adjusted at a time.
If the input channels need to be swapped for any reason, this can be done us-
ing the 6 x 6 Input Routing button field. When touching one of the -L, -C,
-R, -LS, -LFE, and -RS buttons, a list pops up and allows routing the desired
input channel to the selected input, as shown above. If, for example, the Left
input channel is routed to the left input, the corresponding button shows L. If
no signal (None) is, for example, routed to the left surround input, the button
shows None -LS.
