b) Components shift 5. Disassembly to visually inspect the J1.
c) Peripheral
components for
charging are at
fault.
If the pins of the power jack (J1) aren't
contacted well with the pads of the
PCB, re-solder the pins.
6. Visually inspect the R60, C29, F1,
BQ5, R62, R70, DZ1, R61, R67, C73,
C74, C31, U11, BQ6, U6, U18, R66,
R24, R65 and C72. If any component
isn't contacted well, shift it back to the
right position.
7. Visually inspect the polarity of the
U11and DZ1. If any component is
wrong, shift it back to the right
position.
8. Check the F1. If it is open, replace the
F1.
9. If they are not wrong, proceed to c.
1. Use dummy battery to check the
charging function. JP1.1 connected to
V+ (3.6V) of the power supply. JP1.3
connected to V- (GND) of the power
supply. JP1.2 connected to a resistor
(10K ohm) to ground.
2. Plugged in the charger then check the
voltage of the CHARGERIN pin and
U12.5 pin. If their voltage isn't the
same about 4~6V, F1 is at fault.
Replace the F1.
3. Check the voltages of the U12.2 and
U12.4 if their voltages are above 4.8V.
If not, maybe U12 is at fault. Replace
the U12.
4. Check the voltage of the U11.1 and
BQ6.2 if it is above 4V. If not, maybe
U11 or BQ6 is at fault. Replace them.
5. Measure the current flowing across
the R24. If not about 400mA, maybe
R24 is at fault. Replace the R24.
6. If they are not wrong, proceed to d.
