Select the crankshaft journal bearings from the
following table according to the number
stamped on the inside of the crankcase.

1 blue
2 black
3 brown
4 green

6. Measure:
• crankshaft width
Out of specification → Replace the crank-
shaft.
Crankshaft width
63.95 ~ 64.00 mm
(2.518 ~ 2.520 in)
7. Check:
• crankshaft sprocket 1
Damage/wear → Replace the crankshaft.
• balancer drive gear 2
Damage/wear → Replace the crankshaft.
8. Check:
• crankshaft journal
Scratches/wear → Replace the crankshaft.
• crankshaft journal oil passage
Obstruction → Blow out with compressed
air.
