1 Connected condition of connector
Inspect the coupler for any pins
that may have pulled out.
Check the locking condition of the
coupler.
2 Faulty battery
3 Open or short circuit in wiring har-
ness.
FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM
Symptom Error is detected while reading from or writing on EEPROM
(code re-registering key code and throttle valve fully closed notification value).
Operation item and countermeasure
Execute diagnostic mode (code No. 60)
• 01 is displayed on meter.
• 03 is displayed on meter.
• 04 is displayed on meter.
Symptom Power supply to the FI system relay is not normal.
Operation item and countermeasure
If there is a malfunction, repair it and connect it
securely.
ECU coupler
Replace or charge the battery.
Refer to "CHECKING AND CHARGING THE BAT-
TERY" in chapter 3.
Repair or replace if there is an open or short circuit.
• Between battery and main switch
• Between main switch and fuse (ignition)
• Between fuse (ignition) and engine stop switch
• Between engine stop switch and fuel injection
system relay
• Between fuel injection system relay and ECU
Readjust the CO of the displayed cylinder.
Refer to "ADJUSTING THE EXHAUST GAS
VOLUME" in chapter 3.
Replace ECU if defective.
Replace the ECU.
Turn the main switch to ON, and turn the throt-
tle grip to full open and then to full close posi-
tion.
Replace ECU if defective.
