Turning off the Pre-Collision Braking System
When pressing and holding the Pre-Collision
Braking System OFF switch for approximately
2 seconds (or longer), a single short beep will
sound and the Pre-Collision Braking System
(including Pre-Collision Brake Assist) will turn
off. When this control is turned off, the Pre-
Collision Braking System OFF indicator light
on the instrument panel illuminates. To turn
the control back on, press and hold the Pre-
Collision Braking System OFF switch for
approximately 2 seconds or longer again.
When this control is turned on, the Pre-
Collision Braking System OFF indicator light
will turn off.
When the Pre-Collision Braking System is turned off, the Pre-Collision
Throttle Management Control function is also turned off.
Even when the Pre-Collision Braking System is turned off, if the ignition
switch is turned off and the engine is then restarted, the Pre-Collision
Braking System will be turned on. The system default setting when the
vehicle is restarted in "ON".
■ Pre-Collision Braking System OFF indicator light
This indicator light illuminates when the
ignition switch is turned to the ON position,
and then flashes for approximately 7 seconds
after the engine starts. It turns off when the
Pre-Collision Braking System is turned off.
It
