Making a local call by using your Quick
Access menu

Select the required channel.

Press one of the scroll keys
Local Calls menu.

Scroll through the list of local
calls until the call you
want appears.

Press Send.
The call details appear in the
display, the red LED glows and
appears in the display.
Dialling a local call
This feature is only available for radios with alphanumeric
keys.
To make a local call to another radio or group of radios:

Select the required channel.

Select Menu>Dial radio call.
Alternatively, your radio may be
programmed so a local call can
be dialled directly from the
default display. In this case, you
can start dialling the call without
selecting the menu option.
A series of X and S characters may appear, prompting
you to dial over them.

Dial the number using the alpha-
numeric keys.
