TROUBLESHOOTING

If trouble occurs, carry out the applicable checks and action given below.
If the trouble persists, contact your service representative.
Trouble
Nothing lights on
operation panel when
main switch is turned
ON ( ).
No copies come out
when the Start key is
pressed.
Copies come out blank.
Copies come out too
light.
Checks
Is the power plug connected to an AC
outlet?
Has a message appeared in the touch
panel's message display?
Are the originals set correctly ?
Is the copier in the auto exposure
mode?
Is the copier in the manual exposure
mode?
Is Added toner massage displayed?
Is paper damp or wet?
Action
Connect the plug to an AC outlet.
Read the message, and take action in
accordance with it.
Set originals face up in the DF and set
them correctly.
When originals are set on the platen,
face them down and align them with
original size indicator lines.
Adjust exposure settings in the "Auto
exposure adjustment".
Adjust the exposure to the correct
degree using the manual exposure
adjustment keys.
To adjust the overall exposure, perform
"Manual exposure adjustment".
Replace the toner cartridge.
Replace the paper with new paper.
