Timely maintenance of the engine and the power train ensures
their trouble-free operation and long lifetime.
As maintenance procedures are preventive, maintenance should
be conducted according to the fixed schedule over the whole operating
period.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE GUIDANCE

According to the time period and operations performed,
maintenance is subdivided as follows:
DAILY MAINTENANCE (DM)
FIRST SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE (M-1) is conducted
after the first 15,000 km run (500 hours running time), or after 6
months of operation (at the first oil change).
SECOND SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE (M-2) is cond-
ucted after every 40,000 km run at each oil change (beginning from
the second oil change)
ANNUAL MAINTENANCE is conducted either every year
or after every 120,000 km.
ONE-TIME MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS
Daily maintenance (DM) is conducted once a day at the end
of the work.
The first maintenance (M-1) is conducted after the first 500
hours of the engine operation or 15 000 km run for dump trucks and
municipal chassis/buses, or after 25 000 km run for intercity and
international transportation vehicles/intercity buses.
The second maintenance (M-2) is conducted after the first
1000 hours of the engine operation or 30 000 km run for dump trucks
and municipal chassis/buses, or after 50 000 km run for intercity and
international transportation vehicles/intercity buses each time the
motor oil is changed.
Seasonal Maintenance (SM)
Changing over to spring-summer or autumn-winter operation
periods must be conducted according to the schedule established by
the company using the engine.
Petroleum, oil, lubricants (POL) and other consumables must be used
in strict compliance with the "Consumables" section of this Manual.
