7. When operating the engine, pay attention to any abnormal
noise.
Before stopping the engine allow it to idle for 2-3 minutes
without any load, at minimal rpm 700 min
To stop the engine, decrease the RPM to minimum and turn the
ignition key to the "0" position.
During the break-in period (first 100 hours of run or 2500-3000
km of vehicle mileage) the engine must not be operated at full load.
Do not overload it by too high rpm.
During the engine break-in period full load and high rpm
should be avoided. During this period parts of the cylinder-piston
group, gears, bearings, etc. are properly aligned and the oil
consumption becomes stable. Overloading the engine during break-in
period will have a negative effect on the parts alignment which will
reduce the engine service life.
During the break-in period carefully watch the coolant
temperature, oil level and pressure.
The coolant temperature at the working engine outlet must
range from 80° to 100°C
The pressure of oil warmed up to the said temperature must be,
2
in kPa (kgf/сm
):
at 700±50 rpm; not less than 100 (1.0);
at 1900±50 rpm; not less than 400-550 (4,0-5,6).
