17. FIRMWARE UPGRADE

FIRMWARE VERSION CHECK
Switch AR2300 on, start the AR2300 Control software and go to:
SETTING > OPTION
The firmware version appears at the bottom of the window, as follows:
C2300_Main_XXXX DYYYY
Where XXXX is the "Main" (controller-board) firmware version, and YYYY the decoder board firmware
version.
If a firmware newer than the version in your AR2300 is available, proceed as described below.

3. AOR's original software "SHBOOT".
4. PC running Windows 2000 or XP SP2, or newer, with a vacant serial communication port
(COM port).
5. Serial cable (female-female). UPDATE DOES NOT WORK THROUGH USB!
6. 2 boot files and 3 firmware files supplied by AOR
Do not perform an update if the firmware version is already the newest available.
HOW TO ACCESS
Power OFF AR2300.
Access the DIP SWITCH area as illustrated. You do not need to open the receiver!
