12-13. Troubleshooting

Trouble
No weld output; unit completely
inoperative.
No weld output; meter display On.
Erratic or improper weld output.
No 115 volts ac output at duplex
receptacle, Remote 14 receptacle.
No 24 volts ac output at Remote 14 re-
ceptacle.
Indicates motor reverse relay is energized.
Indicates motor reverse relay is not energized.
Indicates bus voltage is present.
Indicates bus voltage is not present.
Indicates microprocessor is operational.
Indicates microprocessor is not operational.
Indicates tachometer feedback signal is present.
Indicates tachometer feedback signal is not present.
Indicates +5 volts dc is present on motor board PC13.
Indicates +5 volts dc is not present on motor board PC13.
Indicates +15 volts dc is present on motor board PC13.
Indicates +15 volts dc is not present on motor board PC13.
Indicates auxiliary forward signal is present.
Indicates auxiliary forward signal is not present.
Indicates auxiliary output signal is present.
Indicates auxiliary output signal is not present.
Place line disconnect switch in On position (see Section 2-9).
Check and replace line fuse(s), if necessary, or reset circuit breaker (see Section 2-9).
Check for proper input power connections (see Section 2-9).
Check, repair, or replace remote control.
Unit overheated. Allow unit to cool with fan On (see Section 3-5).
Check voltmeter/ammeter Help displays.
Use proper size and type of weld cable (see Section 2-5).
Clean and tighten all weld connections.
Reset circuit breaker CB1 (see Section 2-6).
Reset circuit breaker CB2 (see Section 2-6).
