You can measure the radiation intensity using one of the following two methods:

Note: Using a thermocouple to measure reflected apparent temperature is not recom-
mended for two important reasons:
A thermocouple does not measure radiation intensity

A thermocouple requires a very good thermal contact to the surface, usually by

gluing and covering the sensor by a thermal isolator.
31.2.1.1.2 Method 2: Reflector method
1 Crumble up a large piece of aluminum foil.
2 Uncrumble the aluminum foil and attach it to a piece of cardboard of the same size.
3 Put the piece of cardboard in front of the object you want to measure. Make sure that the side
with aluminum foil points to the camera.
4 Set the emissivity to 1.0.
