Use of a phase control dimmed mains supply may damage the internal electronics. • This product must be fitted with a front protection shield (wire guard or safety glass). Should this not be supplied as a standard accessory, please make sure you buy it separately and install it before using the product. • There are no user serviceable parts in this product. Iris diaphragm Operating instructions Operating instructions 3. OVERVIEW OF THE LED FOLLOWSPOT In comparison with conventional tungsten‐halogen spotlights, Astro has an LED solid‐state electronic light source, which is more energy efficient and longer lasting than a tungsten‐halogen lamp. The implications of using an LED source are as follows: • A 200W LED is ‘built‐in’ to the spotlight, and when the time comes to replace it, this will require servicing via your local dealer. The LED is not a plug‐in replacement component and is not user‐ serviceable. • The colour temperature of the LED is fixed at either ‘warm’ 3200K theatre‐standard, or ‘cool’ 5600K, which is becoming more common in TV studio applications and in theatres using colour filters. • Although regular colour filters may be used with an LED source, the non‐continuous spectrum of the LED produces a different effect with many standard colours. Lee Filters supply colour filters specifically for use with LED spotlights. These LED filters are matched to 5600K (cool) white sources. Please check you are using the correct source/filter combination. • The spotlight requires a constant mains power supply (not a dimmed supply) and a DMX signal. The DMX signal is used to control intensity and performance features of the followspot. Refer to the operational section of this manual for details. • Luci della Ribalta srl, Via Berna 14, 46042 Castel Goffredo (MN) Italy Tel. +39 0376 771 777 – fax +39 0376 772 140 – email info@ldr.it – web www.ldr.it ...

Insert the spigot in the central hole of the yoke of the followspot from beneath the yoke d. Add the plain screw and the M12 self locking nut and tighten the nut with a suitable tool. e. mount the followspot on the tripod. Make sure the structure you are fixing the product to can withstand the product load (see product label to check on weight) 5. MOUNTING THE COLOUR CHANGER (accessory, part nr. 20105106) Remove the colour frame from the followspot. At the front of the followspot, remove the 2 cross‐head self‐tapping screws from one of the two front colour runners. Re‐position the two screws in their original holes and tighten them. Repeat with the second colour runner. Take the supplied M4 screws and position each one of them, only half‐way through, in each one of the M4 Avdel brass inserts on the front plate of the followspot. Mount colour filters on the colour changer units. See relevant instructions supplied with the colour changer Position the colour changer unit on the front plate of the follow spot, making sure that the colour levers are positioned on the right‐hand side of the follow spot when viewed from behind and hang it to the previously positioned screws. Release the colour filters of the colour changer in order to have access to the screws and tighten them. Ensure the colour changer unit is secure, and all three screws are tight. Priority of light over thermal control • Pre‐programmed special effects • Remote reset • LED display sleep mode • Maximum fan speed • LED temperature display Locate the separate mains cable with Neutrik powerCON locking mains connector, insert it into the panel socket at the rear of the LED module, and twist to lock it in place. When mains power is first connected the power indicator will light. When the power switch is turned on the followspot will perform a self‐check and if a DMX signal is present the display will show the dimmer DMX address (initial factory default setting is A001). One DMX address is used for intensity, and up to 7 additional addresses may be used for other remotely controlled functions. Note: The intensity DMX address must be set as a unique number and not used for other remote‐control functions. Remote‐control DMX addresses must be independent from any master control on the desk (master scene fader, blackout switch etc.) to ensure that preferences set by DMX level do not change during a fade.
