Using voice inversion scrambling

Your radio may be programmed so you can turn on voice
inversion scrambling. While voice inversion scrambling is on,
transmissions are unintelligible to any radio or equipment not
correctly set to decipher the transmission.
To enable voice inversion scrambling, you may be able to
either:
Enabling voice inversion scrambling by using a
function key

use a programmed function key, or
use the Main menu.
Communicate to the recipient or recipients that you are
about to turn on secure communication (scrambling
active), and they will need to do the same.
Press the function key programmed for Scrambler.
The message Scrambler activated
appears in the display.
While on, the voice inversion scrambler
symbol
appears in the display.
Proceed with your call.
