3. 4. 4. 19 DC685 Regi Control Setup Cycle (Registration)

Function Sets or displays the optimal values of skew and the NVM values of other Regi control
correction systems.
• This is the cycle to set the optimal values of the skew and the NVM values of other Regi
Control correction systems, assuming that this is executed at factory shipment and at LSU
(ROS) replacement in the field. Only this cycle detects and corrects the skew and
magnification balance.
• There are four functions of the Regi Control Setup Cycle. These functions work
independently. Usually, they are performed in the order of 1-2-3. Perform Procedure 4. Skew
Rough Setup only when an error is displayed during Procedures 2 and 3. For details, refer to
Chapter 2 ADJ1.1.6 Regi Control Adjustment.

• Be sure that the DC956 Belt Edge Learn mode is completed successfully before
execution of DC685.
• If the Skew Rough SetUp is not completed successfully, there is a fatal error for
Regi Control execution. Cause must be identified by DC681 and DC683.

1. Select "Registration" tab on the Service Mode screen.
2. Select [DC685] on the Registration screen.
3. The Regi Control Setup Cycle screen is displayed.
The following DC subcodes can be selected in the combo boxes for each execution type.

4. Perform the procedures in the order of DC685-1 -> 2 -> 3. Regi results are not guaranteed if

Control Adjustment.
5. Select [Close] to return to the Registration screen.
