3-86
Is +5 VDC measured between the STAPLE HEAD J886-4 (+)
and GND (-)?
Y
N
Check the wire between the STAPLE HEAD J886-4 and
the FINISHER PWB J852-2 for an open circuit or poor
contact.
Check conductivity of the following:
• Between the FINISHER PWB J852-1 and the STAPLE
HEAD J886-5
• Between the FINISHER PWB J852-5 and the STAPLE
HEAD J886-1
Is the resistance 1 Ohm or less for both wires?
Y
N
Check wires with more than 1 Ohm for an open circuit or
poor contact.
Replace the STAPLE HEAD ASSY (PL15.9). If the problem
persists, replace the FINISHER PWB (PL15.13).

012-960 STACKER TRAY FULL STACK

Description In either one of the following cases:
• The system detected Small Size Paper FULL during the
STACKER TRAY Height Adjustment operation (during
lowering down).
• The system detected Small Size Paper FULL during the
STACKER TRAY Height Adjustment operation (during
lowering down) when the Big Size Paper is ejected.
• The Big Size Paper was ejected while the system already
detected Big Size Paper FULL (HALF).
Though it is possible to run the following Diag on
the machine not installed with the Finisher, an error
will be displayed.
BSD on : CH11.10B CH11.11B
Procedure
Remove the FINISHER FRONT COVER.
Enter DC330 [012-204] and turn it On.
Turn On/Off the STACK A SENSOR with a sheet of paper, etc.
Is the display switched between H and L?
Y
N
Check the STACK A SENSOR using the Generic
Permeable Sensor Failure FIP.
Enter DC330 [012-205] and turn it On.
Turn On/Off the STACK B SENSOR with a sheet of paper, etc.
Is the display switched between H and L?
Y
N
Check the STACK B SENSOR using the Generic
Permeable Sensor Failure FIP.
Enter DC330 [012-200] and turn it On.
Manually turn On and Off the Actuator of the STACK PAPER
SENSOR.
Is the display switched between H and L?
Y
N
Check the PAPER SENSOR using the Generic Permeable
Sensor Failure FIP.
Turn DC330 [012-050] (UP) or [012-051] (DOWN) On.
Did the STACKER TRAY operate?
Y
N
Does the STACKER MOTOR operate (or is it going to
operate)?
Y
N
With DC330 [012-050] (UP) running
Is +24 VDC measured between the FINISHER PWB
J847-12 (+) and GND (-)?
Y
N
Is +24 VDC measured between the FINISHER
PWB J844-4 (+) and GND (-)?
Y
N
Check the INTLK ON +24 VDC circuit to
the FINISHER PWB J844-4 by referring to
the BSD CH12.1.
Replace the FINISHER PWB. (PL15.13)
With DC330 [012-050] (UP) running
Chapter 3 Troubleshooting
Is +24 VDC measured between the STACKER
MOTOR J889-1 (+) and GND (-)?
Y
N
Check the wire between the FINISHER PWB
J847-12 and the STACKER MOTOR J889-1 for
an open circuit or poor contact.
With DC330 [012-050] (UP) running
Is +24 VDC measured between the STACKER
MOTOR J889-2 (+) and GND (-)?
Y
N
Replace the STACKER MOTOR. (PL15.11)
Check the wire between the FINISHER PWB J847-11
and the STACKER MOTOR J889-2 for an open
circuit or poor contact. If no problems are found,
replace the FINISHER PWB (PL15.13) and
STACKER MOTOR (PL15.11) in sequence.
Check the following:
• The STACKER MOTOR GEAR for wear and damage
• The STACKER TRAY for dragging and improper
installation
• The STACKER ELEVATOR BELT/RACK/GEAR for
wear and damage
Remove the other mechanical causes of the STACKER
TRAY not operating.
Replace the FINISHER PWB. (PL15.13)

012-961 MIX FULL STACK

Description After MIX FULL was detected (STACK A
SENSOR), either one of the following conditions was fulfilled.
• Compared to the maximum paper size that was loaded at
the previous JOB, the paper size (either feed direction or
width direction) of the next JOB is bigger.
• Staple mode has been changed while the width of the
maximum paper size that was loaded at the previous JOB is
less than 279.4mm.
