Preparation before Operation

8.2.1 Before Operating The air

WARNING
Ensure that the power
plug is securely Inserted.
8.2.2 Notes
Aim at the signal receptor on the room air conditioner
when operating.
Do not drop or throw the remote control.
Do not place the remote control in a location that is
exposed to direct sunlight or next to a heating unit or
heat source.
Make sure that the signal path is not obstructed.
The maximum signal which is can be accepted are 3
metre.
If the unit is not going to be used for an extended
period of time, remove the power plug. Otherwise,
approximatelly 2.5W of electricity will be used even if
the unit has been tuned off using the remote control.

8.2.3 How to insert The batteries
8.2.4 About the Batteries
The batteries can be used for approximately one year.
Do not use rechargeable (Ni-cd) batteries, because such batter-
ies differ from the standard dry cell batteries in shape, dimen-
sions and performance.
Be sure to replacethe batteries with two new batteries of the
same type as each other.
Remove the batteries if the air conditioner is not going to be
used for an extended period of time.
