DETERMINATION OF PRIMARY BOILER PUMP OR BOILER SYSTEM PUMP
The boiler pump must have a delivery head which can ensure
the water flow rate as shown in the diagram "Water pressure
losses".
The following table gives an indication of the pump's flow rate
in function of the Δt of the primary circuit if the installation has
a mixing header
Power supply in btu (kW)
Max flow rate
demanded in gal/h (l/h) Δ Δ Δ Δ Δ T 27°F (15°C)
Max flow rate
demanded in gal/h (l/h) Δ Δ Δ Δ Δ T 36°F (20°C)
NOTE: The use of a mixing header fitted between the boiler circuit and the system circuit is always advisable.
It becomes INDISPENSABLE if the system requires flow rates superior to the maximum permitted boiler flow
rates, which is to say lower than 27 °F (15 K).

Instructions for the installer
Size of the pumps
If determined by the installer
or
be sized according to the
data of boiler and system.
In case of fixed raet pump is
recommended to choose a
circulator with flow rate and
head at about 2/3 of the
characteristic curve.
The Δ Δ Δ Δ Δ t between supply and
return boiler should never be
less than 27 °F (15 K).
