style wakesurf wave. Having an NCRS setting of 5 tends to create a
cleaner wakesurf wave whereas a NCRS setting of 0 tends to create
a wakesurf wave more likely to "wash out."
Using NCRS in conjunction with NSS allows the user to have a large
range of adjustment, but do not be concerned if only a few
combinations of settings are useful to you. A factory preset NCRS
setting of 5 and an NSS setting of 0 has been selected because these
settings tend to create the most desirable and universal wakesurf
wave with the factory ballast completely full. The user should be
aware that factors such as the amount of additional ballast, quantity
of passengers, offloading and weather conditions might affect
which settings you find useful.

How to Switch Wakesurf Sides

To change the wave side that can be surfed from one side of the
boat to the other, the user can simply press the "switch surf" soft key
(the second key from the bottom in Figure 7). Once the button has
been pressed, the extended wave plate will retract and the inactive
wave plate will be deployed to the current NSS setting almost
instantly. The user should also notice that the icon indicating
which side to surf has updated to indicate the side of the wave
currently being surfed.

Other Ways to Adjust the Wakesurf Wave

NSS and NCRS are both effective tools to adjust the wakesurf wave;
however they are not the only options available to you. To further
adjust and change the shape of the wave for wakesurfing the boat
can be slightly offloaded toward the side of the surfer. This should
produce a cleaner wakesurf wave. Be sure to avoid offloading the
side opposite the wakesurfer as this can be detrimental to the
wakesurf wave. If the user prefers to wakesurf strictly by offloading
the boat (without NSS) then NSS can be turned off by pressing the
on/off button on the LINC surf page.
