Step 13. See if you have any Line Extension Cords (D4CE) connecting the modular

line cord to the control unit.

Step 14. Following Steps A, B, and C below, connect the standard modular tele-

phone to the line with trouble. Figure 30 shows your connections after you

have finished the steps.

Remove the standard modular telephone from the network interface

and replace it with the modular line cord.

Remove the standard modular telephone cord from the standard

modular telephone.

Remove the modular line cord of the line with trouble from the con-

trol unit and plug it into the standard modular telephone.
