Step 10. On both voice terminals, perform the action that revealed the trouble.
IF
Some or all of the terminal exten-
sion cords have been switched and
the trouble appears on the voice
terminal that at first had no trou-
ble,
All terminal extension cords have
been switched and the trouble
appears on the voice terminal that
at first had the trouble,
Some terminal extension cords
have not been switched and the
trouble appears on the voice termi-
nal that at first had the trouble,
Step 11. Determine whether there are other components between the control unit
and the voice terminal that have trouble.
IF
Jack panels are the only other
components used,
Jack panels, cables, and/or 103A
Modular Jacks are used,
No other components are used,
Trouble on One Voice Terminal
THEN
Trouble found. It is caused by
the terminal extension cord just
connected to the voice terminal
that at first had no trouble.
Replace the terminal extension
cords as they were and obtain a
replacement for the defective cord.
Read the section on Maintenance
Exchange Procedures at the end of
this manual.
The switched terminal extension
cords are not causing the problem.
Replace the cords as they were.
Go on to Step 11.
Replace the terminal extension
cords as they were. Go back to
Step 9 to switch another terminal
extension cord.
THEN
Trouble found. It is caused by
the modular to modular connector
in the jack panel that is connected
to the voice terminal with trouble.
Read the section on Maintenance
Exchange Procedures at the end of
this manual.
Go on to Step 12.
Call your equipment supplier for
help.
