Zipper Sewing
Put in a Zipper
O Stitch pattern: 01
(_) Thread tension dial: AUTO
® E: Zipper foot
o Attaching the Zipper Foot
To sew on the left side of the zipper, attach the foot
holder to the right pin on the zipper foot°
To sew on the right side of the zipper, attach the foot
holder to the left pin on the zipper foot.

o Fabric Preparation
Add 3/8" (lcm) to the zipper size. This is the overall
opening size°

Place right side of fabric together and sew to the end of the
zipper opening° Reverse stitch to lock the stitches.
Manually increase the stitch length to &5 and sew the
zipper opening.

@ 3/4" (2 cm)
= Starting to sew
[] Fold back the left seam allowance. Turn under the
seam allowance to form a 1/8"(0,2 to &3 cm) fold.
Place the zipper teeth next to this fold and pin in place°
Attach the zipper foot with the right pin in place.
Lower the zipper foot on the top side at the bottom of
zipper so that the needle pierces the fabric next to the
fold and the zipper tape,
