Introduction

Thank you for selecting the MAC 401 Dual™, an intelligent lighting fixture from Martin Professional™. This
LED-based moving-head washlight features:
• 36 multi-color high-power emitters
• DMX control
• Twin-face head that can operate with one or two modular plug-and-play LED arrays
• Onboard control panel with LED display
• RGB (red, green, blue), HSV (hue, saturation, value) and CTC (color temperature control) control options
• Electronic 'color wheel' feature
• Two ranges of pre-programmed superimposable dynamic effects
• Four pixel grouping options
• Smooth electronic dimming
• Electronic strobe with pulse effects
• Motorized zoom providing beam angles from 20° - 50°, as well as 16° Hypermode effect
• 630° pan and 300° tilt ranges

Unpacking

The following items are included with the MAC 401 Dual™:
• One head module (installed)
• Two clamp attachment brackets with quarter-turn fasteners
• This user manual
• A Neutrik PowerCon input connector
• 2 x 10 AT mains fuses (installed)

Using for the first time

Before applying power to the fixture:
• Check the Martin Professional website at www.martin.com for the most recent user documentation and
technical information about the MAC 401 Dual™. Martin user manual revisions are identified by the letter
at the bottom of page 2.
• Carefully review "Safety Information" on page 3.
• Check that the fixture's power voltage and frequency ranges match the local AC mains power source. See
"Power voltage" on page 9.
