*NOTE: This offset axle plate position requires the caster headtube to be leading to provide
adequate tire clearance between the rear tire and the front caster. Refer to Converting from Trailing
to Leading or Leading to Trailing Casters on page 27.
22-Inch Rear Wheels and 6-Inch Front Casters
If changing the seat-to-floor angle to 6°, anti-tippers MUST be installed.
Refer to the following table to determine the obtainable seat‐to‐floor heights and
seat‐to‐floor angles for 22‐inch rear wheels and 6‐inch front casters:
SEAT-TO-FLOOR
*NOTE: The seat‐to‐floor heights are based on urethane tires. If wheelchair is equipped with
pneumatic (properly inflated) or solid rubber tires, add ¼ inch to the measurements listed above.
These heights can vary +/‐ ¼ inch due to tire wear and manufacturing tolerances.
NOTE: Charts 21 to 28 apply to adult/hemi frame styles only. Refer to the charts for seat‐to‐floor
height settings for adult/tall (Adult/Tall Frame Style on page 31) and super low frame styles
(Super Low Frame Style on page 31) and Changing Seat‐to‐Floor Height on page 77 for recliner
frame styles.
