The following recommendations are made for the
safe use of the Back Extension:

DO NOT install or use this equipment without
first reading and understanding these
instructions. If you are unable to understand
the Warnings, Cautions or Instructions,
contact a healthcare professional, dealer
or technical personnel before attempting
to install this equipment - otherwise, injury
or damage may occur.
INSTALLATION WARNING
After ANY adjustments, repair or service and
BEFORE use, make sure that all attaching
hardware is tightened securely.
This kit includes the following:

INSTALLING THE BACK EXTENSION
BRACKETS (FIGURE 1)
NOTE: Make sure that the wheelchair is unfolded on a level
surface, with the wheel locks engaged.
1. Remove the upper two (2) mounting screws and
washers securing the back upholstery. Refer to
DETAIL "A" in FIGURE 1.
2. Align the upper and lower mounting holes in the back
extension brackets with the upper two (2) mounting
holes in the back upholstery and back canes. Refer to
DETAIL "B" in FIGURE 1.
NOTE: The back extension brackets accommodate several
models of chairs, replace only the mounting screws that are
removed. An extra set of screws is included for instances
of loss or damage.
3. Install the two (2) existing mounting screws and washers
as shown in DETAIL "B". Tighten securely.
4. Repeat for opposite side.

NOTE: Fastening strips should face the rear of the wheelchair.

NOTE: Alignment notches should sit firmly on the alignment
screws. Insert tubes should NOT rotate in back extension
brackets.
