Sync Operation with External Devices
About sync settings of the R-1000
You can sync the R-1000 to other devices. Set the following [SYNC] menu settings according to your sync setup. For details of
parameter setup, refer to "Menu Operations and Menu List" of the owner's manual.
When you perform the sync operation, select [EXT.CLOCK with V-MIXER] or [EXT.CLOCK with D.SNAKE] in REAC SETUP.
CLOCK SOURCE

REAC
Provides sync from the R-1000's internal clock.
WORD CLOCK
Synchronises to the WORD CLOCK IN.
VIDEO SYNC
Generates sampling clock from the black burst that is input to VIDEO SYNC IN connector.
* If you select [WORD CLOCK] as CLOCK SOURCE, the sampling frequency of your current project must match the sampling frequency of your
external clock source.
TC SOURCE

Generates timecode from the R-1000's internal clock.
SMPTE (LTC)
Synchronises to SMPTE timecode coming in from SMPTE (LTC) IN connector.
MIDI (MTC)
Synchronises to MIDI timecode coming in from MIDI IN connector.
If [SMPTE (LTC)] or [MIDI (MTC)] is selected as TC SOURCE, set the R-1000's frame rate to match the frame rate of your TC source. .
