Motor inspection
1. Inspect:
Commutator
Dirty → Clean with #600 abrasive
paper.
2. Inspect:
Segment undercut
Clog → Clean.
NOTE:
Remove all particles of metal with com-
pressed air.
3. Measure:
Commutator diameter
Out of specification → Replace.
Commutator diameter:
Limit 21 mm (0.83 in)
4. Inspect:
Armature coil continuity
Out of specification → Replace.
Armature coil continuity:
Commutator segments
Segment - Laminations
Segment - Shaft
