CONVENTIONAL OPERATION

D Transmitting notes

• Transmit inhibit function
The transcever has several nhbt functons whch restrct trans-
msson under the followng condtons:
- The channel s n mute condton ('Inaudble' condton; "
does not appear).
- Channel s busy.
- Un-matched (or matched) CTCSS s receved.
- The selected channel s a 'receve only' channel.
• Time-out timer
After contnuous transmsson for the pre-programmed tme perod, the
tme-out tmer s actvated, causng the transcever to stop transmttng.
• Penalty timer
Once the tme-out tmer s actvated, transmsson s further nhb-
ted for a perod determned by the penalty tmer.

D TX code channel selection

If the transcever has [TX Code CH Select] assgned to t, ndcaton
can be toggled between the operatng channel number (or name)
and TX code channel number (or name). When the TX code chan-
nel number (or name) s dsplayed, the [
TX code channel.
TO SELECT A TX CHANNEL:
q Push [TX Code CH Select]— a TX code channel appears.
w Push [
e Push [Call] (or [PTT] durng MSK operaton) to transmt the se-
lected TX code.
r Push [TX Code CH Select] agan to return to the operatng chan-
nel number ndcaton.
FOR TX CODE CHANNEL TYPE:
If the transcever has a [TX Code CH Up] or [TX Code CH Down]
key assgnment, the programmed TX code channel can be se-
lected drectly.
