2. Holding the radio so that the power switch is up, you will see 3 wires on the mini-
XLR connector (the one the mic plugs into) leading to a 3 pin connector (CN1). Take
the red one off of CN1 (leaving the other end attached to the mini-XLR) and solder it
to J1, which is a jumper just below the LED and the power switch.
3. Test the modification by placing a voltmeter between pin 2 of the mini-XLR and the
negative terminal of the battery. It should read about 9v when the transmitter's power
switch is on and zero when it is off. That's it!
IMPORTANT NOTE: once you have removed the resistor you might need to fine tune
the radio gain on the transmitter.
The MLD's tracker inputs expect a line-level signal (-10dB 5KΩ) from the radio
receivers. If the radio receiver in your modified wireless system outputs a mic-level
signal, please make sure that the signal is amplified before it reaches the MLD.
