Disconnect upper hose from cold start
drip pan beneath hose and hold hose

Note! Oo not run engine when levetof coolant is
low, since high local temperarures can resutr
which may cause the cylinder head ro crack.
Coolant
S i n c e a l u m i n i u m i s u s e d i n t h e e n g i n e s , a c r i v e c o r . o -
sion protection is necessary in the coolant to help pre-
vent corrosion damage,
Use genuine Volvo blue-green coolant type C. diluted
with clean water in proportions of 50/50.
This mixture helps to prevent corrosion and frosr
d a m a g e .
N e v e r f i l l t h e c o o l i n g s y s t e m w i t h w a t e r a l o n e .
T h e c o o l a n t s h o u l d b e c h a n g e d r e g u l a r l y s i n c e t h e c o r -
rosion protective additives in the coolant lose their ef
fect in time.
Replacing coolant
Always use type C blue-green coolant. Remember to
replace decal {P/N 1331473-7)
on expansion tank if ne-
