6. Fusing Unit

Before You Begin
• The fusing unit becomes extremely hot during operation. To prevent minor burns, allow the
machine to cool for at least 30 minutes before you remove the fusing unit.
• The fusing unit weighs approximately around 15.0 kg (33.1 lb).
• When moving the fusing unit, lift it slowly and be careful not to strain yourself. Careless
handling or over-exertion when lifting can result in breakage of the unit or injury to yourself.
What You Need
• Hex screwdriver
• Newspaper or other paper
Replacement Message
• "Replacement Required:Fusing Unit"
If this message appears, replace the fusing belt smoothing roller.
• "Replacement Required:Cleaning Unit for Fusing Unit"
• "Replacement Required:Fusing Assembly"
Print the counter list.
1. Press the [Counter] key and print out the counter list.
See page 18 "Control Panel".
2. Turn the machine off.
