5) Some connectors are provided with a lock. One type o f
such a connector i s disconnected b y pushing the lock,
and the other, by moving the lock up. In either type the
lock shape must be identified before attempting to d i scon­
nect the connector.
To con nect, insert the connector until it snaps and con­
firm that it is tightly connected.

6) When
termi nals, or measuring voltage across the term i n a l and
ground, always contact tester probe(s) on terminals from
the wiring connection side. If the probe is too thick to g a i n
access t o the terminal, use " m i n i " test leads.
To check water-proof connectors (which are not accessi­
ble from the wiring side), contact test probes on the ter­
m i n a l side being caref u l not to bend or d amage the ter­
m i n als.

7) Sensors, relays, electrical u nit, etc., are sensitive to
strong impacts.
Handle them with care so that they are not d ropped or
mishandled.
