5) Some connectors are provided with a lock. One type o f
such a connector i s disconnected b y pushing the lock,
and the other, by moving the lock up. In either type the
lock shape must be identified before attempting to d i scon
nect the connector.
To con nect, insert the connector until it snaps and con
firm that it is tightly connected.

6) When
termi nals, or measuring voltage across the term i n a l and
ground, always contact tester probe(s) on terminals from
the wiring connection side. If the probe is too thick to g a i n
access t o the terminal, use " m i n i " test leads.
To check water-proof connectors (which are not accessi
ble from the wiring side), contact test probes on the ter
m i n a l side being caref u l not to bend or d amage the ter
m i n als.

7) Sensors, relays, electrical u nit, etc., are sensitive to
strong impacts.
Handle them with care so that they are not d ropped or
mishandled.
