2. Camshaft Drive Bell (Timing Bell)
PERIODIC MAINTENANCE SERVICES

(2) Using white paint, put alignment and/or
arrow marks on timing belts in relation to the
sprockets.
1 1 ) Loosen tensioner adjuster mounting bolts.
1 2) Remove belt idler.
1 3) Remove belt idler No. 2.
1 4) Remove timing belt.
Z1 , 44 tooth length
Z2, 40.5 tooth length
2. DOHC MODEL
1 ) Refer to 1 ) to 7) of camshaft drive belt.

2) Remove pulley bolt. To lock crankshaft use

CRANKSHAFT PULLEY WRENCH
3) Remove crankshaft pulley.
Remove left side belt cover.
5) Remove right side belt cover.
6) Remove front belt cover.
If alignment mark and/or arrow mark (which
indicates rotation direction) on timing belt fade
away, put new marks before removing timing
( 1 ) Turn crankshaft and align alignment
marks on crankshaft, and left and right cam­
shaft sprockets with notches of belt cover
and cylinder block.

(2) Using white paint, put alignment and/or
arrow marks on timing belts in relation to the
sprockets.
