Replacing the Retard Roller

TEMPERATURE WARNING
The inside of the scanner can become very hot after continuous
operation. Do not touch the scanning glass and metallic portions of
the retard roller directly.
Be sure to allow sufficient cooling before performing cleaning or
replacement.

Slide the roller cover from the left to the center while
opening it.

Raise the securing lever for the retard roller toward you,
and slide it to the left.

Remove the retard roller.

Install the new retard roller.
5
Slide the securing lever for the retard roller to the right,
and lower it backward.
