• When [Speed priority] is selected, a 400-/600-dpi image is generated
from the image scanned at 300 dpi. The scanning speed will be
faster, but the quality will be slightly reduced.
• When [Image quality priority] is selected, documents will always be
scanned at 600 dpi. When [Dots per inch] is set to [400 dpi], a 400-
dpi image will be generated from the image scanned at 600 dpi. The
scanning speed will be slightly reduced.

You can register a non-standard page size that has not been
registered as a page size by naming and registering it as a custom
page size in the Custom Paper Size dialog box, which is opened from
the [Save] button on the [Basic] tab.
