Appendix B. 3278 Display Station Attached to a 4331 Processor
This appendix describes the different symbols and operations that will occur
when the 3278 is attached to a 4331 processor instead of to a 3274 Control
Unit or a 3276 Control Unit Display Station.
Operator Infonnation Area Symbols and Messages
Readiness and System Connection Symbols
The ready symbol
I
will appear in location 1 of the Operator Information
Area to indicate the 4331 processor is working.
Do Not Enter (Input Illhibited) Messages
)( C-F is the minus function symbol. This message means that the function
(operation) that you requested is not available. Press RESET to restore
your keyboard; then take other action.
Keyboards
CLICK
(G1 )
Key
The CLICK
(C3l)
key is not operative when a 3278 is attached to a 4331.
The clicker will normally be on. A click tells you that the keyboard is
operational and that the data you are keying in is being accepted. The
absence of a click indicates that the keyboard is disabled.
Additional Keys
The following keys are not operative when a 3278 is attached to a 4331
processor:
ATTN
PRINT
(0-0)
IDENT
DEVCNCL
CURSRSEL
If one of these keys is pressed, the minus function (")( C-F) message will
appear in the Operator Information Area.
