PA3 Keys
PAl, PA2, and PA3 are Program Access (PA) keys, and they perform the func-
tion that their name implies; that is, they provide a means of signaling the program
or communicating with it. While your display station is signaling the program, the
Do Not Enter - Time (
)( ):.
) message appears in the Operator Information
Area, disabling your keyboard. Most programs, when replying to these keys, turn
off the Time message. However, this is up to the program. The program that is
operating in the host system at the time also determines how these keys are used.
If you are not familiar with the use of the PA keys, ask the appropriate person in
your organization about the use of the PA keys or refer to the appropriate user's
program guide.
